Each guest is allowed one piece of cabin baggage and 1 laptop bag or 1 handbag on-board, The main cabin baggage shall not exceed 56cm x 36cm x23cm and does not wigh more than 7kg. This baggage should also be able to fit under the seat in front of you or the overhead compartment.
Carriage of liquid, aerosols, and gels on International flights
For Security reasons, certain restrictions have been introduced to limit the amount of liquids, aerorols and gels (LAG) that guests may include n their cabin baggage on international flights.
- LAG items such as drinks, creams, perfumes, sprays, gels, and toothpaste must be in containers should fit comfortably in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag.
- Each passenger is limited to only one transparent re-sealable plastic bag with a volume no greater than one liter and dimension no larger than 20cm x 20cm.

- Medicines - Quantities are essential for your trip. Eg. Diabetic kit.
- Baby food - Pasted and liquids that are required for your trip
- Non Liquid cosmetics - Solid deodorants, lipstick, powder foundation.
- Fresh/Frozen seafood or meat - Must be packed properly.
Checked baggage can be pre-booked at a discounted rate online or standard rate at the airport check-in counters.

Checking in baggage
All baggage mus be checked-in at the airport:

prioir to departure time for AirAsia domestic flights (except flights departing klia2)

prior to departure time for AirAsia International flights, AirASIA x and all flights departing from klia2.

Guest checking in baggage

Alternatively, guests may also purchase 15 kg abggae for domestic flights or 20kg baggage for international flights at the check-in coun ters.
Smaller Musical items such as a guitar, cello, violin, or viola which exceed our cabin baggage dimensions provided it is within 75kg (dimensions : H 103cm x W 41cm x D 41cm) may be carried in the cabin if a seat for it has been reserved and the appropriate fare paid. There is no baggage allowance associated with the purchase of an extra seat.

The following items will be charged with a sports equipment fee. All other sports equipments will be under the checked abggage allowance. The sporting equipment fee can be either pre-booked at a discounted rate online or at a standard rate at the airport check-in counters.

Note : High intensity diving lamps and normal portable diving lamps i.e. torch lgihts, which contains rechargeable lead acid batteries, spillable or non-spilable will not be accepted on board our aircraft as check-in nor as hand baggage as it falls under dangerous Goods Regulation.

Sports equipment we do not accept
Due to large sizes and handling complexities, certain sporting equipment may not be able to go through airport baggage systems or fit in the aircrafct hold and thus the following equipment will not be accepted for carriage:
- Hang Gliders
- Kayaks, Canoes and Oars
- Pole Vaults
- Any number of pieces is allowed with a combined weight not exceeding pre-book/airport weight.
- Excess baggaga fee applies to eery extra kg.
If you have a checked baggage missing, please approach one of our friendly guest service officers immediately.
You will need to provide your baggage tag that was given to you at the time of check-in to enable us to track your baggage through our baggage tracing system.
you will be given a property irregularity report (PIR) number to check the status of your baggage online and get updated regularly during the tracing period.
Your baggage will be delcared missing after a period of 7 days for Domestic travel, and 14 days for international travel, from the date of the PIR. In this situation, you will need to prepare the following documents:
- Copy of guest passprot / ID
- Copy of guests bank book / statement
- SWIFT/BCB/IBN Code (for international transaction)
- An Authorization letter for 3rd party account (if necessary)
- Copy of 3rd party passport / ID (if necessary)
Guest will be contacted by our central baggage tracing office staff for further action.

Please note that we do not accept any responsibility for personal belongings misplaced or lost on board the aircraft or in the airport terminal. All items carried by you are solely at your own risk. Any items found on board will be forwarded to the lost property offices at the respective airports. Any items found at the airport terminal will ber handed over to the airport authorities.
If your baggage has been delayed, we will make the necessary arrangements to deliver it to your local addreess provided in the PIR form as and when id arrives. Arrangements will also be made to assist you should items of baggage arrive damaged.
If you wish to file a cliam or an action regarrding delay of checked baggage, you must notify us within twenty-one (21) days from the date the baggage has been placed at your disposal.
If you baggage is damaged, you should immediately approach one of our friendly guest service officers. Details of the damage to your baggage will be recorded and you will be offered immedisate assistance, if necessary. please note that damage to accessories and wear and tear may not be covered by us.
If your bag is damaged as a result of over-packing or unsuitable packaging, our liability will be reduced.
If you wish to file a claim or an action regarding damage to checked baggage after you've left the airport, you must notify us as soon as you discover the damage, and at the latest within 7 days of receipt of the baggage.
