Introduction

Buddha Air (U4) is a low cost carrier airline flying to domestic & international routes. The cabin baggage allowance given by this airline is 5 kg and max size of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (L x W x H). The international route fare includes checked baggage allowance of 15 kg while the domestic route ticket fare includes checked baggage allowance of 15 kg. Passengers can check in at the airport 180 minutes prior to the departure time. Online check in is not available.

History

Buddha Air operating with IATA (U4) and ICAO (BHA) was first established in 1996. The airline runs under the management of Buddha Air Pvt. Ltd.. Across the years, Buddha Air continued to flourish its business by offering a worthwhile and pleasant experience for their passengers. This airline was first commenced on 11-10-1997. The first ever flight route was KTM - LUA using Beechraft 1900D. Buddha Air has won Government of Nepal –Recognized by the government as "Highest Income Tax Payer in Tourism Industry" in the year 2012,PMA Project Excellence Award – Bronze winner in Medium and Big- sized projects for Hangar Construction in the year 2014,Government of Nepal – Recognized by the government as “Highest Income Tax Payer in Aviation Tourism Sector” in the year 2014.
