Wideroe operating with IATA code (WF) and ICAO code WIF, is a low cost carrier airline that flies domestic & international routes. The airline serves flights to destinations all over the world from its main hub located in Bergen Airport (BGO), Bodø Airport (BOO), Oslo Airport (OSL), Sandefjord Airport (TRF), Tromsø Airport (TOS). Wideroe operates under Widerøes Flyveselskap AS. The company is lead by the CEO, Stein Nilsen. The head office for the airline is located in Norway.

History

Wideroe which operates with IATA (WF) and ICAO (WIF) was founded in 1934. The airline runs under the management of Widerøes Flyveselskap AS. Over time, Wideroe continued to develop its business by offering a worthwhile and pleasant experience for their passengers. The milestone that has been obtained by the airline is a staff of 3,000 and a turnover of NOK 3.5 billion,carries around 2.8 million passengers annually and flies to 50 domestic and international destinations,in 2018, the first airline in the world to put the Embraer E190-E2 into commercial opertaions,in 2018, launching a new website and new mobile check-in.

Flight Attendant

Wideroe cabin crew wears a uniform that is dominated by black. For male flight attendants, they wear white long sleeve with black suit and green tie with black trousers. For female flight attendants, they wear black shirt with black suit and green scarf and black skirt. The uniform itself represents Wideroe sense of purpose to deliver and create the best experience to their passengers throughout the flight.

Airport Check-in

Airport check in can be done in the Wideroe check-in counters 180 minutes prior to the departure time. You are advised to check in at least one and a half hours before the check in and baggage drop counter at the airport closes.

Kiosk Check-in

This service is not available for passengers flying with Wideroe.

App Check-in

It is possible for Wideroe passengers to check in through the airline’s official mobile (Android/iOS) app. To do so, download the Wideroe mobile application on their gadget. The check in time is 24 hours before the scheduled flight departure time.

Check in time at the airport starts from 180 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure time. Check in online is available for flights with the airline on Wideroe official website. It can be processed 1 days prior to flight departure time.
